We invite you to submit solid waste related articles and news items for consideration in the bimonthly newsletter.

The Old Dominion chapter distributes a bimonthly newsletter to the membership and a general interest list of over 1,500 people as a tool to disseminate and share important information and innovative concepts being implemented across our region.

No compensation is provided for article submissions. Articles should not promote or advertise the services of a company or specific product.

Typical submissions include an original article about topics of interest to the SWANA membership. Examples include:

An innovative response to disaster cleanup,
A project accomplishment,
A community event such as a local ROADEO or Touch a Truck,
A unique process used to solve solid waste problems.

Please keep these submissions to approximately 300 words, and fact-based. Photos are encouraged!

A press release from your public relations department about a recent project or announcement pertaining to solid waste.
A link to an article you wrote for trade or industry publications (shared with permission).
Announcements of members who have recently received a promotion or appointment, new assignments, professional recognition award, etc.
Announcements of awards received by chapter members, including local jurisdictional awards, community service, etc.
Mainstream media coverage of any of the above (shared with permission).
